This cup is made from a sheet of light, speckled clay. The geometric patterns were hand-stamped using polymer plates we made in our studio. To achieve depth of color, the cup was painted twice with ceramic paints – once before bisque firing, and again before final firing. The interior is glazed.
The Samasa collection was created after many months of trials.
Samāsa (समास, Sanskrit)- composition, union, reconciliation, wholeness, totality.
This is the beginning of a new direction in our work, one we want to pursue—combining magical geometry, color, and tactile texture. We feel this is just the beginning, and we're curious where the journey will take us. We're thrilled to have you here with us.
The selection of glaze colours and unique decorations guarantee the uniqueness and exceptionality of our products.
Before first use, fill the cup with water at approximately 80 degrees Celsius to protect it from possible thermal shock.
We recommend hand washing as this mug is too nice to be washed in the dishwasher.
Capacity 200ml.
!The pictures of the wonders are taken in different lighting and camera settings, so their real colors may differ slightly from those you see on your screen. One thing is for sure - Rootka ceramics look even better in real life than in the pictures!
The inscription on the vessel (Gurmukhi script) read karunaalija he – You are the repository of compassion.
(Greetings to God – Jaap Sahib)
