This mug is made from a sheet of light, speckled clay. Geometric patterns and mushroom motifs familiar to Rootka fans were hand-stamped using polymer plates we made in our studio. To achieve depth of color, the mug was painted twice with ceramic paints – once before bisque firing, and again before final firing. The interior is glazed.
The Samāsa collection was created after many months of trials.
Samāsa (समास, Sanskrit)- composition, union, reconciliation, wholeness, totality.
This is the beginning of a new direction in our work, one we want to pursue—combining magical geometry, color, and tactile texture. We feel this is just the beginning, and we're curious to see where this path will take us. We're thrilled to have you here with us.
The selection of glaze colours and unique decorations guarantee the uniqueness and exceptionality of our products.
Before first use, fill the cup with water at approximately 80 degrees Celsius to protect it from possible thermal shock.
We recommend hand washing as this mug is too nice to be washed in the dishwasher.
The capacity of the cup is 380 ml.
!The pictures of the wonders are taken in different lighting and camera settings, so their real colors may differ slightly from those you see on your screen. One thing is for sure - Rootka ceramics look even better in real life than in the pictures!
